    AKA Bolt Pin Diameter

TLDR: I think I need 2 AKA bolt pins turned down about 0.005" if anyone could help me with that.

I got some AKA bolt pins anno'd (the knob part), but I just realized the diameter of the AKA bolt pin is a bit too large for my Mozak back block.

I'm a bit baffled though because I swear I've seen a handful of builds on here with AKA bolt pins on a Mozak body.

I got the following with my calipers:
    • Mozak back block 0.2460"
    • AKA Bolt Pin 0.2500"
I spoke to Mozak about this several months ago and he said his back block holes are cut to 0.255" to fit all bolt pins, but that doesn't seem to be the case with mine.

    Any advice?

Thinking my best path forward might be to send it to one of you guys with a lathe to trim down the bolt pin a bit.

The AKA bolt pin knob does press fit onto the bolt pin, so I'd need to keep the diameter of the pin as is where it press fits onto the knob.

It would be far easier to bore out the back block than turn down the bolt pin. And if it’s too small for that pin, it’ll be too small for other pins you might want to use in the future.

Yeah I've given up on the idea already. Not too happy with how the AKA bolt pin looks on the marker anyways. The ST bolt pin fits perfectly, so I'm just going to stick with that.
