Pants reccomendations?

Hey all, I'm looking for some durable, somewhat heavy fabric slide pants. Not joggers/sweatpants. Preferably size 37-40, but I'm mainly just looking for recommendations. If anyone has anything used I might be interested, but my budget is around $60 tops so keep any suggestions for new stuff under that if at all possible. Thanks

Arny surplus BDU pants. Several waist/length size combinations, not too thick or heavy but still strong to take a beating, available everywhere, cheap.

I love the Kinetic paintball pants more than any other paintball specific pants, they're simply the best, but I can't justify keeping expensive stuff like that so went back to the good old woodland BDU pants.

my man! I've got the pants for you! these are 2XL but I'm about a 38 and really liked these pants from undr. price dropped to 45$ shipped in the BST misc section. padded Knees, tough as hell.
they can be cinched down and worn with no belt but I really liked wearing them with suspenders and having them be nice and loose. 32 leg. I just found out Undr could do just about any print you could come up with for the same price and ordered a different pattern and wanted to sell these.

I hate BDU's with a passion - never met a pair that did not rip in the crotch, and god knows I tried to rock my OG tiger BDU's for years. the crotch needs to be gusseted!

Undr is definatly dope. My marker sleve and duffel bag are both tigerstripe, the wife got her stuff with the anime ahego faces on her sleve, bag, and jersey

If your budget wasnt so low I would reccomend kinetic pants. I love mine. They say they are designed with a 32" inseam, but mine were perfect even if I normally wear a 34"

Yep the kp-k were perfect. I also wear a 34"length. I regret getting rid of them, but not in a position to be keeping nice stuff anymore

I use the padded under garments (pro dna slide pants) with nylon pants overtop. The nylon pants i found by accident earlier this year that have worked great, and have held up all summer (every weekend, except a few, for the last 4 months), are some from walmart (https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/464963786). I bought a pair to use for other purposes, but wore them one day when my normal paintball pants were still dirty and have not stopped using them since. In fact, i bought 3 pair so i can rotate them out. On the one pair that i have used the most, the knees have held up great and i am not gentle to them. I slide into most bunkers and play an average of 6 games a weekend.
so for low cost paintball pants, this is what i would recommend! BUT, they are not heavy weight fabric so they miss that criteria.

Is the heavy fabric requirement solely for durability? I wear Cherokee scrubs (both joggers and cargos). About $30/pair. They're thin, but they have held up well over the years, even when sliding. I wear knee pads underneath.

i bought the cheapest pants i could find with these padded, kevlar knee panels and swapped them over to some nice, lightweight stretch cargos from goodwill.
my favorite pants have always been the vtac valkens but they are super hard to find nowadays. to my knowledge, they are the only paintball specific pants made primarily of ripstop cotton instead of nylon/polyester. all the other "swishy" stuff ive tried just is not as comfortable, doesnt breathe well and nylon frays instead of tearing clean so its almost impossible to repair.
i dont have super high hopes for these long term, but im sure the knees will last longer than the rest of the pants

Dye. I've been playing for 21 years now and have used 3 pairs of dye pants. Each time I changed was due to wanting more features or.... Well I got fat. But none of the pants have so much as a small rip in them anywhere.

Just get a heavy duty work pants like a carhart from tractor supply with the double knee reinforced. They are a lil stiff at first but after you wash them a few times they soften up and will last better then any paintball pant. I get them for like $55

My favorite paints are Smokin Paintball but you can’t get or find those anymore. (They are made out of hemp)

quick little update:

so, the cargos i sewed the knees on lasted exactly one day of play. 😬😝😝

had these "Empire Battle Tested" pants show up in the mail yesterday after lowballing the fleabayer for $40 shipped. before they were discontinued, these retailed for $150!

i spent a few hours relocating the cargo pockets and removing/hemming/fitting and im pretty pleased with the result.
