SL3 Reg Compatability

Hello all... very specific question.

I was looking at the SL3 reg for my etek 3, and was wondering if i remove the collar on the reg if the reg body has the same threads as the etek body male threads.

At one point I fixed a marker with a converted SL3 reg that had a violent adapter on the top... I believe it was on an SFT.

Any insight would be appreciated.

I am pretty sure you can remove the top and thread the sl3 on. I have one if your looking for one used.

I just checked and mine is the older version with not the removable top.

You need to leave the adapter on for the Etek 3 as it has standard hpr threads, as opposed to the Etek 4 and Egos from that gen onwards which had male threads to accept the female sl3 (without the adapter).

If your Etek has male hpr threads it is actually a Etek 4.
