WAS Equalink cable - Any of them out there?

Was not sure exactly what section to post this, but I am looking to rent/borrow/purchase a Wicked Air Sportz Equalink cable so that I can flash the latest firmware an Impulse board I recently acquired. I have all the files if needed.

Up for having someone flash it also if that's my only option.

I don't have one, but I'd be surprised if it's anything other than a uhart bridge.

If you can't find a cable it shouldn't be hard to make one ... Do you have a manual and picture of the plug?
Maybe a picture of the board and the plug too?
Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...

My only experience with WAS happened in 2005. I sent a board to them to get updated. They never mailed it back. When I emailed and asked what was going on and asking when I would hear anything they replied that they had mailed it to me already and to not bother them anymore. And that's why my Viking has a Pandora in it still.

This is the route I ended up taking. That listing went up after my conversation with him.It is a serial cable but the schematic for the pinout and connector type is long gone. Otherwise I could have just made the cable/had it made and done it myself. I had the flashing software and firmware for the board.

That is correct, that is a serial cable. All flash cables use serial communications, at least for older tech. Even usb ones they will do a digital to rs323/485 conversion (yes there is new tech where you can do digital/software flashing like flashing phones and gaming devices). But for old simpler tech that you are directly flashing a single purpose board or firmware or bios then it is a serial communication.

I have never flashed a paintball gun but many other devices. Aka i have only flashed bios and similar firmware chips. I use a CH341A programmer that can clip right on top of a bios chip. Again I have not flashed a paintball gun (i guess yet, theres always time) and I am not familiar with the WAS boards but this is what i use for my other electric projects. The nice thing about this is i can read in and save the original firmware onto my computer just incase things go south and i have to flash it back. Things go south often lol

I don't know why my prior link is dead. This thread has info on the pin out and making an adapter. They reference people on the Timmy forums making some as well so you could search for those threads.
