I have several old school electronic trigger markers, which are not my usual forte. Some will remain in the arsenal as part of my overall collection. The others will be cleaned, repaired and sent out into the wild. While I have been able to rebuild the basic markers, I have run across a few that I cannot get the e-triggers to work correctly. I have replaced the original 9v batteries with a new Energizer 9v. Some frames simply do not turn on at all. Some frames turn on and cycle, but do not trip the trigger with the hammer cocked. I found with one Spyder ACS Pilot, a softer main spring allowed the trigger to release the hammer. This did not work with the other electros. Any clue as to what direction to follow.

That's part of the problem they need the 9.6 volts.
Other issue I've been seeing is the capacitors degrading. -
I assume these are all stbb based on 9.6v mention?
If so ecap has you on the correct path. Try 9.6 in anything that doesn't trip the sear first and if not look at the capacitor. Typically if the silver disk on the cylinder end is bulging out that's an indicator that the capacitor has gone bad.
When they go bad they deal drugs and get their friends to shoplift which is probably why your collection has multiple bad ones.
The bulging disk isn't a guarantee though, I've had bad ones that don't have the bulge
