    Boring a Tippmann barrel?

I’ve been thinking about getting some barrels bored for inserts but I’m unsure if they can be. 98C and A5 barrels. I have a freak barrel and the insert loads from the front to prevent bolt stick or damaging the insert because the bolt goes a good bit in to the barrel. So I’m a little confused on how that would work.

Also, is boring a barrel for PWR inserts a thing? These look more stable to me and maybe that would work better for Tippmanns?

    No bueno

Most tippmanns have the bolt go into the barrel a little bit so the bolt will pull out the insert.

The a5 and m98 freak backs have a tiny gap to.acvount for this and only load inserts from the front.

Pwr inserts use cocker thread barrel geometry and will not work

I have an old 2 piece barrel by APP. 98C threaded. Could this be freak bored by starting the process on the barrel joint end instead of the breech end?

A more efficent way is to find a 98c freak back or an adapter. If you want to use xl inserts there are a couple of different places to get tips gor og backs that convert to xl. If you want pwr inserts the only option is an adapter
