    Shocker ERA mech any good?

Haven’t played in a few years (life happens), turning 40 this spring and figured getting back into the game would be a good time.
anyone have any experience around the mechanical shocker era? I see ANS has them for $100 off. I just want something simple, reliable, and that won’t destroy the bank (kind of like most of the automags I’ve owned)

    thanks guys!

I had one for a minute, it's okay but not for the new price tag. I'd rather have an Automag, LOL. If you're set on a new design, I'd take the PE 170R over this.

Seems worth the $500 if you ask me. I had a mechanical shocker Amp that worked quite nicely. It was really comfortable in the hands and was great on the air. I can only see the mechanical Era being an improvement. If it's something you're going to use a lot you may want to consider buying the Method bolt for it as well.

the ergonomics don't suit me, i find them uncomfortable.
but they shoot good, thats for sure. triggers have a good feeling

i prefer the emek and related platforms myself. much bigger foregrips, chunky and solid. they are quite reliable.

Someday I’ve got to try an emek,
I may give the shocker a go. I loved the m170r I had, never should have parted ways with it

I had one briefly, it was harder on paint than my 180, so it was no good for the winter

I would get an Etha 3M over the Shocker.

Trade My Gun has them for $429 with a speedster hopper.

I just bought a Mech Shocker Era and love it. It feels really small to me compared to my Etha 3. Another mech to consider is a Nova N2 Dreadnaught- love mine.
