    Planet Eclipse spring kit

Howdy folks. I've got a few friends that I dragged to paintball and now they're hooked. At least two of them want to purchase an emf100 this summer after trying mine in a game.

I run 20 round Dye dam magazines with the Eclipse springs and followers. I figured i would buy some more to have them on hand once my boys get their emf100s. I have not been able to find any available online. Everywhere is sold out.

I think the followers wouldn't be too difficult to 3d print. My main question is: where do I find those soft springs?

    Thanks for the help! 🙂

It is possible to wind your own magazine springs as well.

Why not get the cf20s? More people run those than the dye mags.

The dye mags you have to modify to run FSR. The cf20s work out of the box

For Soft springs I just used D mag springs they worked great were dirt cheap but I just used the stock followers. No idea how well they work with the PE ones they didn't exist at the time. This was a common mod before the PE came out with the CF20 mags. They are just softer springs that will let you use more brittle paint and dimple paint less under stack pressure. I had no feed issues with First Strike Rounds with the exception of a few bad batches of FS rounds that had oversized nipples on them. But they caught in everything and were the result of pore QC not the soft springs. These make the Dye mags feed awesome they would work great in an EMF100. But without the PE follower it will likely pop on a empty breach instead of chuff because the follower will move out of the way allowing the core to complete its cycle. You could definitely model print them easy.

I think there was just one that poped up for sale used on reddit with a mess of mags. They are probaly harder to find due to the emf200 release

From my experience the springs only matter with round ball. The heavy stock springs tend to deform paint in humid weather.

I am also the player who refuses to adopt the cf20s they seem delicate and fidgety to reload. Sorry I don't want to wind things it's much easier to shove a swab into a mag and reload mid game.

            I mean you're not wrong.

I don't do mid game reloads though, I just carry enough mags to get me through so I can sit in camp and wind and load while I chill

I rock for rec play a pair of double stacked 20 round mags and a stock class chest rig. Keeps it light.

I load out way more mags for actual mag fed games

I have been shooting GI 3-star out of my Dye mags with Eclipse springs. I don't know if cf20s will crush that paint but I'd rather not even try. The stock Dye springs turn 3-star paint to soup. Hence my compulsion to acquire more Eclipse springs.
