Could anyone 3d print this for me? TMC drop down buffer tube

Hey folks! I would love to be able to use the factory stock, but I smash my face and get angry.

I found this, but according to some of the 3D printer folks it's got a high fail chance and would likely be a pain. I'm still interested in looking into (price dependent) it if someone would be interesting in taking on a project.

    Thoughts?

One thing you'll want to do if you do get this printed is to install a PVC tube like the summary recommends. A 3D printed object that long could easily snap along layer lines if a little torque is applied to it (like a stock would experience through normal use).

So does that mean you put PVC on the interior to reinforce it?

Have you looked into the simple buffer tube caps? I would think these would be more durable.

Nothing fancy. Just in case you want to run the TMC without an AR stock on it. Thing prints fine, did'nt even had to clean up anything, it was a direct fit.

Same as https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3043116 but with the addition of a skull. Print with the skull side up, and use supports. See the above link if you want a solidworks file to edit for your own purposes.I advise to print this in either ABS or PETG. My first PLA bugger tube plug (without skull) snapped off at the pin hole. The marker was still functional, but it was annoying.

I hacksawed the stock off my TMC on day one. Handles great and provides a good sight picture even when wearing a mask.

This is exactly what I am doing in the interim. I found a Reddit thread that you posted in a year-ish ago and grabbed one of the files for the skull buffer tube cap. My buddy printed one today and I'll use that for now. I'm not doing magfed for the cosplay aspect of it so I'm cool with a bottomline, but I was curious about trying the drop down tube because the aesthetic was appealing. Sounds like it's a bit of a hassle so I'll probably just stick with the cap.

I think most that want to aim the thing are just cutting it off.

Also don’t over tighten the barrel nut it will interfere with the bolt because it will squeeze the forward most part of the breach to much and the bolt will catch. Found this out a few months ago helping a kid get his new TMC to work t the field.
