    Gen 4 Timmy Dwell

Has a virtue board if that matters. Never messed with a timmy prior, also never tuned dwell on an electric marker.

The the stock setting was 10. Was told to raise to 12?

Any tips or help is appreciated.

    Stock manual says 8 ms: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1422/2682/files/Gen_4_Intimidator_I_or_E_Model_Manual.pdf?18434653 263841013307

Lurker uses the same 8 ms with his Gen 4 Eigen ram: https://lurkerpb.com/wp-content/uplo...gen4manual.pdf

    I'd start with 8 ms.

Ok. This will cover most markers of that era

Start a little higher than you think you'll need, maybe 16-20 in your case

Use the barrel and preferably paint you typically use, size the insert the way you typically do if you are using one.

Chrono to whatever you typically are at for your field

Now start decreasing the dwell. What you are looking for is a point that your velocity starts dropping more than a few fps. Let's say it starts dropping a decent chunk at 10. From there go up a few to say 12 and call it good.

What you have just done is cut out a lot of the wasted air that was just going down the barrel not doing anything. Leaving it a little higher than the drop off gives you a little cushion in case conditions at the field require it but the air that was coming through the valve at milliseconds 12-20 was just being wasted not pushing on the ball

This is also a great way to do it because it's specific to your setup. Different setups with different conditions may need different dwells so there's not really a one setting fits all number
