I remember way back when I got into paintball there was a company that made a mag fed gun that shot football shaped paint. This would have been circa 1994 ish anyone remember anything like that.

There’s a guy on Old School Paintball Guns on Facebook who posted his Macho Fire a few days ago. Seriously cool. I thought it was a genius idea in middle school, and of course never saw one in real life!Comment

I have one near the bottom in my middle case: https://www.mcarterbrown.com/forum/p...-the-peg-board
I can get some better photos of it for you if you want? I never saw any paintballs for it, so no idea if those were ever really made, but I have a business card for it so I have a feeling there was some sort of prototype paint?I am the admin...Comment

Ok there's a ton of claims on that ad, was any of it true? I don't see how it can feed both 63 caliber football shaped paintballs and 68 caliber round ball at the same time

took some photos for you
As you can see, the body will accept 68 caliber paintballs. The barrel is also large enough on the outside diameter to allow for a 68 barrel to be threaded on. The current barrel ID is for the 63 caliber football.
The other issue is the feed on the bottom. That is only made to accept the 63 caliber shaped footballs and the 68 caliber will not fit. I tried.
So... If you change the barrel, the feed port, and the magazine. I could see it working, but it wouldn't be a fast switch over.

Ok so it *can* shoot both if you basically replace the whole front end of the marker
I can't imagine the footballs flew all that well tumbling through the air

I never knew these existed. I’m curious how they flew. I can’t see them working to good. I feel like they had a jell cap encapsulation machine laying around not getting used and built a marker to shoot what they already had. Looks like a large pill size maybe something medically related.Comment

One thing to keep in mind folks
These never really made it to any significant production numbersComment

i saw bacci paintball theorize that similar sized detergent capsules could be used in the facebook guy's macho.
ill try to find a pic, but it seemed like a close match. bonus points that they would mark AND clean the target 😂
