    JT Impulse - Board Issues

This is probably a long shot but I have been running one of these as my go to electro for a while after I got it super cheap in a lot. It is light, fast, consistent... and now it stopped working πŸ˜‚

Basically, the board stopped turning on after the last time I ran it. Nothing weird happened that I know of, it just worked and then didn't. I have tried the basics (battery, cleaning, etc) but nothing gets it turning on. The weird/interesting part is that I can connect it to my computer with the old software and it reads/writes fine, it just won't turn on. The button actuates but maybe it has an internal issue?

Does anyone have an extra troubleshooting idea or a line on a replacement board? I know these weren't super popular but I do like it and would love to continue running it. Thanks!

Have you tried shooting it? I'm wondering if the screen died but the board is still functioning in the background

Trbo323 yeah, sorry, I should have clarified, it is not turning on at all, not just a dead screen.

nicmauro did you ever get this figured out? I just picked up a JT impulse that does not turn on. The guy I got it from said that the screen flickered and died, but nothing is turning on so I don’t think it’s the screen.

Com-Stock No, I tried a couple of things to troubleshoot it but never had any luck. Honestly, I wound up frying the board fully after a few hail Mary attempts to get it going... Probably not the smartest decision in retrospect πŸ˜‚

I also searched around for a replacement but had no luck. I have a Morlock board that I plan to try and fit in it but I haven't had the motivation to get it going.
Working...
