The clear Rapide is likely to crack under much any usage at all. Definitely a wall hanger. However, you could probably demolish a Russian tank with the original Splatty and still have it function safely. :P

I just bought a similar condition boxed pair of Rapide and SM for 45.00 shipped. Market seems pretty soft at the moment. Say $50-$60-ish for the clear? Hard to say, they don't come up very often. It's probably been 20 years since I sold mine.

The clear Rapides were not meant to play a game with. NSG sent one to every registered dealer as a way to help show how the gun works.
As hard as it might be to believe, Rapides were seen as "very complicated", and that scared some potential buyers. So the clear versions could demonstrate how simple the internal design actually is.

That said, lots of people have used them in games. and.... they would eventually crack. I assume they were made from acrylic instead of the stronger plastic. ABS?

The seller had good taste. This is a great collection, 1989-1992 in a box.
