    Barrel front average I.D.

I'm not sure if this the right section for my question, but I was wondering what is the average diameter of the front section of most barrel systems (Boomstick, Freak, S63, etc.)? I would guess at least 0.695 since the upper range for inserts usually goes that high.

Depends on the age of the barrel. I would say .690 is the average. but some newer barrels have been made to smaller id to compensate for industry standard small bore.

The previous answer still applies to barrel fronts. I'm pretty sure PE changed their barrel front ID a handful of years ago due to smaller paint and Inception Designs has been offering different size barrel fronts for a while.

That’s a newer barrel it’s definitely going to have a smaller bore compared to the older planet barrels. Jack isn’t one to leave anything on the table when designing stuff.

            I just checked:
            PE S63 14" tip = 0.700 ID.
            Nova 2 piece 14" tip = 0.701 ID.
            Empire 2 piece 14" tip = 0.704 ID.

I have two other brands of sets i will check later, these are not the sizes i expected.

            Update for records sake:
            J&J edge 2 piece 14" tip = 0.705 ID.
            J&J ege 2 piece 10" tip = 0.694 ID.

I wish i had more short 2 pieces to check now. Makes me wonder if the longer they are, the larger the tip ID is?
