Umarex T4E HDS - leaks down barrel

As title says, have a Umarex shotgun that I picked up off a forum member last summer, it was already velocity modified. Got most of a day of play out of it, but after about 4-5 12 grams, we noticed efficiency went way down, must have started leaking. Then on last 12 gram it just vented. He thought it was the piercing seal but I didn't check.

Finally got around to checking it and its actually leaking down the barrel. As soon As 12g is pierced, it vents down both barrels. Have never worked on one of these before. Is it as simple as an o-ring or seal? Thanks.

Thanks for this, helps in understanding. I've worked on usual stuff like blowbacks, cockers, and modern stuff where it is mostly just o-rings. When the Umarex started leaking, I realized I had no idea how it worked.

I have worked on plenty of these markers. There are several videos on youtube that show how to fix this issue. O-rings and miscellaneous repair parts are available on Rockstartactical.com. Changing the O-ring inside of the front of the power tube is usually the fix. It is similar to the Tiberius power tube O-ring. If you are in the Maryland area, I can fix it for you.

Appreciate the tip and offer, would love to take you up on your offer but I live in GA. I went to the site but am struggling to find parts, searching just pulls up the marker itself.

BTW, do you still have any for sale? My son loved using it (very different play style from our usual which is electros) and he might want another for his friends.

By the way ANSgear.com and Rockstartactical.com both have the O-ring you need. It is the same O-ring used in the TR50 bolt.
