Buy every JT ER2S, Brass Eagle Tiger Shark, Kingman Hammer, any cheap pump you can really. Ebay, ShopGoodwill, FB Marketplace, Craigslist, etc. Then just pass them around like a joint at the field. The renters always wanted to try my pumps. Or really any of my extra markers. Just to have something different from everyone else in there group. Hope no one steals one. But they would get jack s*** for it anyway, since they are so cheap. Couple hundred bucks could get you enough, to arm your own little pump crew. .

Sometime we do pump only games in between the speedball kids practice rounds on the airball field and that gets them interested.

Im seeing a lot of things ive participated in or instigated at fields ive been to. I really believe if your tenacious. Driven, work with others, support where you can, lead as much as possible and play as well as you can. Dont make it a job as you dont want to resent what your trying to do.

I used to run with another stock player and we did our best to bring in as many as possible. Realistically I ran solo for nearly a year before I met my best friend on a field and he took up a pump and rarely ever set it down.

Like others suggested, if your at a field with pronounced wait times between games, see if someone with 1v1 or dual with you.

I took up playing under some osc rules and only hitting the field with a spare 12ie and 4 tubes (10 round) whatever i had in my gun went uncounted so not true osc but still I continued to challenge myself.

I ended up playing in good will suits (the uglier the better) a pgp minus feed tube and a pocket full of paint. I had made a second one so I could offer duels or loan them to others for duels.

Id even let others pick the gun they wanted me to use per game at times.

I did my best to keep a constant challenge and to not be over baring to others, it was more about self challenges but keeping it fun.

I think that resonated with others in a positive way.

Today I went out, and let whoever want to shoot my stuff, shoot it. Talked about it a lot. Made some new friends! And they said they're interested in pump. I played AWFUL all day, but I just had fun,.laughed a lot, and got the ball rolling. Here's to hoping it's the start of something great. Thanks for all the advice guys, really appreciate it!

The local field here has had an accidental pump resurgence. Only accidental because it's a side effect of rules lol

Typically they run two fields, one for the "experienced" players (anyone with a jersey) and one for the renters/walk-ons/casuals. The rule is that if you want to play with the walk-ons and you look "experienced" then you have to use a Tippmann 98 or a pump. A bunch of the regulars dusted off old pumps or bought azodins to get in on more laid back games so it's been a lot of fun.
