Ok gang, back in the day I had these two markers below. I think the black and silver pump was an FBM body that was ccm’d in and out, dye boomstick (or a clone?), with a smart parts on/off and drop….but the other cocker eludes me, and I don’t recall any details of who I bought it from on here…it was pre-MCB apocalypse, so that info is likely long gone…. Please confirm whatever you can about both, thanks!

First one I’m pretty sure is Chris Ogaz of T&C I can’t remember if that one was for FBM or not. -

Both markers only stayed with me a few months, I ended up trading or selling them…
The blue and purple one confuses me, it looks like an old wgp body that somebody milled, and then anno’d? Maybe a one off that someone did for practice or a personal build…? I haven’t seen that style milling on many markers before, let alone the asymmetric pattern from one side to the other.
On the black and silver one, definitely could be Chris Ogaz but I seem to recall it was listed under the FBM label when I got it from the original owner, but I don’t recall it ever having an FBM stamp or logo on the body…so perhaps it was from Chris after all? -
Chris made for FMB. I wasn’t sure if that was labeled an FMB or it was a T&C product but either way Ogaz machined that.

The top one is definitely from Chris Ogaz. In case it wasn't clear, he did all the bodies for Spanky and FBM. It looks very similar to the one I sold a few years ago (that Alexndl linked), but slightly different. My [admittedly very limited] understanding is that pre-2k bodies were Spanky and 2k+ bodies were FBM. This one looks to be pre-2k, based on the bottom edge of the body. I don't recall Spanky having a body style like this one though, so it's probably early FBM.
Also should be noted, not all the FBM bodies were engraved with FBM. I don't believe mine was, but i no longer have pics of the other side to confirm.
No idea on the second. Looks like a factory body kit with some garage shop milling done.Comment

I guess somewhere in the recesses of my memory I do recall that Chris Ogaz did the bodies for FBM at one point or another but I guess what I didn’t realize was that some bodies were FBM labeled and some were not, which ultimately leads to the question of when was this produced? . I will have to do some more digging but I’d love to get a rough estimate of when it was created. According to My records, I owned them sometime in college, so that would have been between 2006-2010, but they would have been created before this…..exactly when I owned them within that timeframe is still a mystery to me, I’ll have to check photo date/meta-data to know for sure….sounds like a project for after work today! -
Phantom1313 According to Chris, he stopped machining paintball stuff in about 2004-2005. Also sounds like he machined bodies for Spanky, who then sold to FBM.

Magmoormaster thanks for this, those dates correlate well with my memory and the dates I mentioned above. If I recall the Ogaz/ FBM marker was more or less pristine, so I’m going to assume it was relatively new or somewhat unused at the time I had it. If my memory serves correctly, I used it less than a handful of times - once or twice at a field near my parents place, once in my grandfather’s back yard against my cousin running his 98 custom, and maybe shooting around the backyard. I have no clue where it ultimately ended up, but I’d love to know.
So far MCB has not disappointed on this identification process. I’m not surprised of course, because this is the only place where true paintball knowledge still resides (I guess vintagerex can be counted here too…and bacci.)
I am going to surmise the blue and purple cocker was a homebrew or one off somebody had done, y’all seem to think so too, and I have no reason to question that. I did find a picture with a an old wgp serial number (67440) on the body. According to ChatGPT - that puts it in the 1996-97 range….I’m certainly no autococker expert but that seems about right to me, and I’ve been around long enough to remember seeing those models in person at the field. The marker body more or less seems correct for that period, except of course for the milling that was done by whoever owned this.
