I never really understood all of the mystique around autocockers, sure they're complicated but everything has a purpose and you can pretty easily separate all of the mechanisms into two parts, if that makes any sense

Bearded works, DocFire PBtek . as E-cap said its worth the time and struggle to do it yourself. even really well timed and tuned cockers can throw a curveball as soon as you walk on the field. having gone through the process yourself will allow you to keep playing and fix things down the road its very satisfying!. a valve tool, decent wrenches, o-rings, lube and you tube make it pretty easy to get through it

This. It you want to use an autococker. Learn how to tech it. They are too much of a "liability" to your day of play if you dont know how to diagnose surface level issues.

Ive had many cockers in the past. I rather have a professional do it and save me headaches let alone I don’t have all the tools or parts / o rings to get her up running.

look at the gun as two separate mechanisms. essentially you've got a pump and then and automation system that takes over. many symptoms can be addressed quite easily when you understand the separation and breakdown process. This also goes for not just repair but tuning as well. This link will take you to the finest writeup i know of.
