Need help finding retrofit solenoid for Infinity Legend

Hey all! I have been restoring an infinity legend because it's always been one of my grail guns since using it in GHP2 lol (same with the Joy Division fly one day) anyways the restore has been great but unfortunately the solenoid has bad drop off and needs like 5-6 shots before it cycles. Of course the solenoids are nowhere to be found & the owner of Infinity hasn't responded to my emails yet on the inquiry.

I am all down to retrofit because the solenoid is mounting with just an inlet/outlet hose, it's not even mounted to anything it's just floating in the frame so a retrofit should be easy.

I am looking for a solenoid that is:

2 way. normally closed, 250-300PSI max pressure, 9v, standard barb fitting connections (wish I knew the size, but i'm pretty sure it's standard AKA the same one Bob long/PE uses)

If anyone knows or has any info thanks in advance!

Long shot because I'm not intimate with voltages used but a icd bko solenoid might be able to be adapted

Says the ICD ones are 5v, I have to double check my noid but I feel like most paintball guns that use 9v batteries like this one will be a 9v solenoid right? It's super hard to find generic noids in 9v for some reason, I've searched the MAC and SMC website for hours. Both don't seem to offer 2 port noids but they have a ton of 3 ports. Could I just use a 3 port and plug the outlet? Then the intake & exhaust ports should behave like a normally closed 2 port noid? As long as blocking the outlet doesn't cause problems which I don't think it should

I doubt your solenoid will be 9 VDC if the power source is a 9 VDC battery. Typically, you use a lower-voltage solenoid than the battery voltage, since the battery voltage drops almost immediately under load. Good chance you have a 5- or 6-VDC solenoid.

Oh shoot you're right! Thanks for the good info, that makes solenoid searching much easier too. I was confusing pneumatic solenoids with the clapper ones

Have you looked into a bob long noid? I'm not sure about the voltage but everything else you listed is the same

I got the links working, ebay was down earlier. Sadly both these are 100PSI max and the Legend has no LPR so it'd have to handle at least 250 max

Did the legend us a LPR? I think it ran off just the HPR. If that is the case you might have to use something like an impulse or shocker solenoid with a custom manifold and one port blocked off. Or skip the manifold and thread the solenoid body for the barbs and a grub screw.

Timmy solenoids are double acting.... Legends are single acting. Air forward spring return

yeah, its making the solenoid search super hard! I'm finding a bunch of solenoids that are 3 port, can i just block the outlet port & use the exhaust as a 2 way normally closed solenoid?

The specs are almost perfect, unfortunately it needs to be able to withstand at least 200PSI (or preferably 250 max) because there is no LPR. I attached a gauge and it runs at ~200 PSI at 280FPS with the way I have it set up, and could probably get it lower with a higher dwell if I can find a solenoid PSI that is close enough

I appreciate the help! It looks like the KOGANEI brand has the closet solenoid designs to what i'm looking for
