    Best Paint in 2026

Since I got back into paintball 6-7 years ago I’ve been using Valken Graffiti whenever possible and finding it better than anything else. Valken is now dead and while you can buy something called “Valken Graffiti” online it clearly isn’t. The usual tigerstripe pattern is gone, the paint is so-so and usually wet from poor packaging. I think they are just rebranding GI field paint or something.

I went into the back yard this morning and did some target shooting with a Phatom that has a 6” barrel. The “Graffiti” I have from last year had four shots that winged out left or right. The actual Valken Graffiti that I bought new three years ago and opened two years ago shoots straight.

So what’s the least terrible paint now? Price no object.

It's small as hell, but I've found HK Army Level 3 to have the most consistent shell on it and it shoots the straightest.

It's VERY small though. Usually around 0.675-0.678

I think the paint from the early 2000’s was and is still the best. Proto orange ball was my go to.

now a days; depends on the batch tbh

The higher end GI stuff is typically pretty good. I usually have good luck with their Evil and Five Star paint. HK is typically decent as well but very small.

Annandale Paintball runs high end GI paint and it hovers around a .684-.688 and usually is quite good, to the point that if there is a problem regulars are more confused/forgiving than upset. Then again the owner is able to buy pallets at a time and moves a decent amount of product so maybe that plays a part in it.

The only paintballs that I’ve bought from a remote location that weren’t absolutely booty have been D3fy and Nelson (sad)

I agree with @Mykrul, I've been shooting the 4 star with the same experience. GI 4 and 5 star shoot money but I'm guessing it needs to be at a field that moves paint decently fast. Higher grade paints store worse from what I've heard and experienced. The bottom barrel ProShar shoots great for me at our local field but it is as hard as a rock. Like I've taken bounces off the lens hard.

D3fy paint is typically pretty good where I'm at.

GI's higher end is decent, though I just shot some of their evil at supergame this last weekend and it was the smallest paint I've ever encountered. Had to use a buddies custom brass 673 insert just to not get roll outs on my pump.

I mailed in proshar “america first” and voltanium this year from lonewolf. No breaks, no dimples, 677ish, shoots straight, great brittleness not elite. Good for pump and stock class paintball.

Got some pretty good pink evil from Midway Paintball field, shot pretty true, good brittleness, elite fill, 677ish

The orange marbs from supergame oregon shot great but too much black in the shell imho, lost some shots in shadows

I'm going to order some ProShar from Lone Wolf to feed my Phantom. I've been on the search for good paint ever since Graffiti disappeared. Thank you for sharing!

Oh I definitely miss the old graffiti. It was the most consistently decent mid range ball for me. I also noticed the downgrade in graffiti last year.

I have had good luck with GI 5 star and evil lately. The lower end and mid range stuff from GI has not been so good to me but I guess you get what you pay for.

The last batch of marbilizer I got was good as well. Maybe a little harder than you would like but shot very well and broke okay. This was a big game so I assume it was nice and fresh.
