Has anyone considered taking the 05/06 Ego ram sleeve and enlarging the exhaust passage hole of the valve as well as widening the transfer passage between the lower and breach tube where air is fed to the bottom of the bolt in order to drop pressures? Jason Antle over at Angry Paintball has been doing this more and more with cockers recently and has seen some good gains from it. Without making some custom valves/rammers for the platform this seems like the easier way of gaining performance and maybe lower the sound of it a bit.
I plan on swapping the barb on the VASA to a higher airflow barb and tap it to be 10-32 if it isn't already. I have modded ram sleeves to accept 10-32 QEVs which definitely has given the 5.5 Nexus I had to which Chuck now owns a smoother less noticeable kick and I could lower the LPR a bit than what it was at stock. I know people have removed the rear QEV entirely to give the older Egos their own Zick kit effect seeing as how SE Violent rammer are nearly unobtanium as are the Dark Ti rammers w/ appropriate spring.
