Tank/regulator and mask questions

Hey all want to get input on tank and regulators I want use. Is there any issues with using these regs on the tanks. I am liking the feel of the stubby and 35. Or should I be using different tanks?

The raw tank i am thinking of getting anod with a marker. Any issues there.

What is the best way to clean it mask, make it look near new. Foam is great shape, so is the mask. Just want to clean it up. And get new lens.

For masks I take the lens out and rinse them in the sink. If there's some real stubborn stuff I use dawn.
There are probably better detergent options.

The issue with some of the combinations of tanks and regs is you got 4500psi regs on 3000psi tanks. Functionally the reg doesn't care if it only gets 3000psi max, it will output what it's going to output. But the issue is if someone goes to fill the tank, reads the pressure on the reg, and fills the 3000psi tank to 4500psi. That's not good. Will it "blow up"? Don't know, but the fact that the question comes up is too dangerous for me. Not worth the chance.

Now you may say "well I'm not that stupid, I'll just remember to only fill to 3000psi". Well two things. One, people are generally stupider than they think (and I include myself in that statement). And two, what about the person you hand that tank to? Some fields have their behind the counter employees fill tanks. Maybe you loan the tank to a friend. Heck, maybe to sell the thing. Lots of opportunities to go "well, it says 4500psi right where the fill whip goes, guess I'll use that one".

Change the 7k burst disk on the regulator to a 4.5k to install it on a 3k tank. If you want to get extreme cover or remove the 4500 psi label. The burst disk is the only difference between 3k and 4.5k regulators

To answer your second question, I clean my masks with 70% isopropyl for the tough stuff (dried paint from direct hits) and warm water & dish soap for the rest. I'll use an old toothbrush and q-tips to get in some of the vents and other nooks & crannies.

the SHP reg is "super high output" and....
- that lil' tank won't last long on SHP
- you may or may not actually want SHP, that's a pretty narrow application - mostly automags

Take it apart... Hot water and dawn/Dawn powerwash
