    Ninja regulator rebuild

I purchased a rebuild kit for a standard ninja reg through ANS. Today I went to rebuild the reg and jumped to the ninja video on YouTube only to find that the kit I have does not resemble the kit referenced in the video. I received several orings, the ball seat, new shims, and set screws. The video says the kit includes a pre assembled piston, making it stupid simple (if not slightly wasteful) to rebuild.

I have no issues replacing the orings on my piston but I don’t appear to have the same ones as currently on it. Does anyone have a write up using the orings supplied in the ANS kit? I’m assuming ninja quit supplying a complete piston opting just for the high wear pieces.

    thanks

If you have a set of o rings just throw the ones that came out on an o ring chart. I know they are standard sizes. Something like a 006 and a 012 for the piston. Those are just guesses from memory and should not be relied on.

Well this sounds like a good time to start one

Get yourself something like this, put each size in it's own container and I like to put the smaller sizes, under 011 in small ziplock baggies so they don't cross into another size. I also use colored o rings when I can so if one does mix into the wrong size you can instantly see it's wrong

Starting out I recommend getting everything 003-018 and later expanding to 022(shockers specifically need 022)

You'll also need a few 100 sizes (cocker front block is what, 112 or 113 i forget.

And way down the road, metrics but those can go in their own case

Top of piston is 012, bottom is 008. I've changed a lot of these out...

If I owe you feedback, just remind me, as I sometimes forget.
