how much does barrel *tip* bore smoothness matter?

I have a dye barrel kit inhand where the tip interior surface is no longer smooth --- not awful and not gouged but you can feel it with finger and see it visually. think of the inside of a tippmann rental barrel perhaps.

it's been anodized and I suspect it was in a bit too long. Etched

How much should I really worry about it?
I wonder about putting some polishing compound on a swab and sticking it in a drill.

I wouldn't worry about it at all but that's me.

Particularly if the tip is a significantly larger bore than the back.

I have a chrome cp barrel that looks like dogshit on the inside and its shoots better than most ac barrels
