    Alternatives for Pro-Lite Valve Stop

Picked up a decent condition Pro-Lite the other day, but it's missing the Valve Stop. It's a super simple piece, but I'm not sure what the proper dimensions are supposed to be, or if there's an easy piece I can substitute in its place. Anyone have any info on it?

I had a friend years ago who made a half dozen or so of the little valve stops out of an Automag sear he had laying around. He managed to convince an old field in the area to let him refurbish and ebay a crate of their old rentals.

Really any chunk of steel the right thickness could be ground down to the right size. I think I have a valve stop on a gun in the shed, but all my good calipers are at work, so I could get some measurements on Tuesday. Be a good excuse to get around to finishing that project gun this weekend.

Are you talking about that little wedge piece to hold it in place? You can get a little woodruff key from tractor supply that fits

Yup, that's the one. I'll have to check those out. Just need to figure out what size I would need. The width and length should be easy enough, but getting the right depth is the hard part.

      Valve Stop - Part # PA - 25B - Dimensions: 3/8 - 1/4 - 1/8 Steel
      OR
9.3 mm Length as shown by 2.95 mm Thickness by 6.4 mm Height as it's oriented there. Measurements can vary slightly of course.

I've tried commissioning a couple local fab shops with no luck. These idiots laughed as I was leaving

Awesome, appreciate the info! Definitely going to be trying one of those woodruff keys that was mentioned above, so hopefully I can find something close to those dimensions.

I haven’t got around to it yet but I theorize that a softer stop could help. I’m going to cut out a stop out of a high quality skateboard shock absorber when I get around to it one day.
