    cocker/sniper non regged spring.

What is the recommended spring setup for a sniper/cocker with no reg. info will eventually be used on a sniper with pre 2k valve.

2 springs. Usually a spring for the valve and a spring for the hammer.

My experience is with hpa and its medium valve spring with the lightest hammer spring that will work. With co2 you may want a little firmer hammer spring when the fill is hot. Idk but that is my assumption.

Might need shorter springs for a pre-2k. I'm in the middle of springing a Pre-2k that required shorter valve and main spring so I cut them down. Mine does not have a threaded IVG.

Ohh man, I went down this path for a long time and experimented with so many springs trying to figure it out, and kept failing. Finally, someone loaned me a PTPSC unregged and I pulled the springs from it and matched them the best I could. I wish I could tell you specifics on them, but I remember they were real old springs from my parts bins, none of the newer ones came close. Both springs were stiff. I was having a ton of trouble with it, and then someone told me to use a stock WGP valve and get rid of the CCM valve and that finally did it.

Now that I write that maybe it was the CCM valve all along and plenty of other spring combos would have worked... So my tip is to start with a standard WGP valve.

Yeah, springing is the most fun I have while teching markers. I have a very nice pre-2k cocker that I popped open to see the springs. I'll do it again as I naively did not copy the same valve spring. Heck, I would just take the entire lower tube and exchange it over, see where it gets me and go from there.

this has been discussed many times here, u should search the site. the main key is a WGP valve i believe, u want smaller ports for co2, for the springing i would start with stock/WGP and see how it shoots (they are like a medium spring in most kits). the non threaded ivg guns use a smaller valve spring (shorter), think they are like a 96 and older. i think sheridan or nelson valve spring may work for these, AKA also sells one.
