    Old Autococker ID

Does anyone recognize this milling? Got this on ebay and cleaning it up. Wire detent, no lug hole adjustment , no ivg threads, and timing rod is not threaded.

Early, obviously but parts choices are putting it fairly early..

      Could be Dirk Gadberry's work

Wasn't it listed as a PMI cocker? I mean they could have listed it as such just because of the frame but idk

Bad market right now. eBay people can buy with credit cards atleast.

I'm *pretty sure* PMI was doing small runs using rebadged custom mill bodies off both WGP and BBT (pre shocktech) at the time. That looks like BBT cuts to me.

Entirely possible, its the part choices throwing me though...

Thats a proline back block, which was a brand associated with NPS not PMI. The wire detent would lean bbt but the lack of feedneck vents makes me second guess.

Then there's the front block not matching... Which could mean it was at one point parted or had a matching shroud... Bob long and innovative/dirk Gadberry's work generally skipped Anno matching front blocks when they had a matching shroud.

I could seriously run a master class in cocker forensic history

Pmi cockers were not very custom. From one of the big shops, bbt.

On this I suspect the ans junk was just thrown on to make it more complete. Otherwise the frame wouldn't be gutted.

Customized but looks like a non famous one off. Not to say it couldn't have been made by a customizer of note, but isn't from a series I can recognize.

Back block matching the back of the body speaks well of the person behind it.

Back in the mid/late 90’s ANS was actually regarded as fairly decent upgraded parts. Limited options back then.

Their lpr is highly under rated.
