    Lapco Arctic Ghost?!?!

Lapco Arctic Ghost, I have been around since 1988 and have never seen one. Does anyone have any info on it. Looks like the guy picked it up for $125

I've been collecting LAPCOs for decades, and that is the first time I have seen that engraving. Like Ecapnation , Colin did a lot of one-offs, especially toward the end of the pump runs in the 90s. Never seen that brown anodizing on any LAPCOs before.

I'd wager that was somebody's nickname rather than the name of the marker. I've seen a number of Bushmasters over the years (as in, pics online) where the sight rail or pump arm was engraved with a team name or player name.

Welcome! It's a neat marker and the tape colors do go well with the name "arctic ghost". I hope you enjoy it! It is a different game playing pump (especially if you play an all pump game i have heard, i am looking forward to my first), a fun different, much more personally challenging. But wining a snap battle with a pump is soooo satisfying.

Glad you joined us in our small corner of the web! I tend to like my markers more original, but I think the tape looks good too. If you like it though, that’s what really matters. And If you wanted to find someone to help make you some custom parts for it instead of the tape, this is the place for it.

Welcome to the forum. This is most likely a large-bore barrel, so you will likely have roll-out issues. Ghosts are good candidates for Nail Polish Detents to help with the issue or Fishing line detents. I see you are using an HPA bottle. While not impossible, LAPCO markers take a little work with springs to get them up to velocity on HPA. Like most "Nelson" based markers, they work more easily on CO2. A lighter valve spring and/or a heavier hammer spring are usually needed to get velocity much above 250 fps. A #6 Power Tube is what you want for the higher flow rate but be aware #6 Power Tubes are more fragile and prone to breaking so make sure you keep some spares on hand.

Good luck, and howler if you need anything; there are a bunch of us with decades of experience with Nelson-style markers, if not specifically LAPCOs.
