if I wanted a large spring rate adjustment window what would be an ideal combo? i've got a stabilizer a fatty, spring kits, a tornado and stock valve along with heavy, medium and light hammers. right now I'm setup with a yellow / yellow and heavy hammer and the tornado. I haven't shot it yet but id like to get this thing assembled in a fashion to that would have the highest success margin. im not tied to a specific gas and have both co2 and hpa at the ready.

The closest I have been able to just throw springs and a valve into a marker was using an ID valve and springs on the 2k cocker. The more options you have the more difficult it is to just drop something in and go. So I would use the stock valve and regular hammer to start. You can fine tune from there. Pre-setting you HPR may help, and then you can sweet spot later
For easier tuning, a Dye Laz removes the valve spring, so makes life easier, and I remember the Nova Valve being not too bad to spring with their stock springs. Otherwise it's guess and check. I'm been fighting with springs in my Fishbone cocker for a while now and wanted a similar start to you, just to get it running and useable, but still having to spend a significant amount of time and air to get things to work and it's still a work in progress. -
Boyle's Law. P/V = V/P. Pressure over Volume is equal to Volume over Pressure.
One cubic inch of air at 500 psi is equal to five cubic inches at 100 psi.
What do you consider ideal?
It's often easier to regulate the pressure input to the springs than it is to keep swapping springs to match the pressure.Comment
