    MacDev tank regulator?

I've had this in my parts box for so long I've nearly forgotten what it is...

Anyone have some info they can provide on how to rebuild this thing, what/where to acquire parts, specifications, etc?

    Thanks

MacDev may still have some spares. Here are the 2 manuals I have:

    http://delta5.org/forums/mcbMacDevCo...-04Rebuild.pdf

    http://delta5.org/forums/mcbMacDevConquest04v1.2.pdf

Yours looks like an 02 which is supposedly quite different internally from the 03/04, but those manuals may help. (I've never seen an 02. Have 2 or 3 of the 03/04 here though.) Otherwise try emailing MacDev Australia. They should still at least have a manual for the old stuff.

Edit: Not sure why the link text is "Youtube Video". Each of those links points to a PDF.

Thanks for the info! How does it stack up against other adjustable tank regulators available these days?

Those regs are okay on the low end, like 0-400. But after that the on/off lever gets really tough to move. The higher you go, the harder it gets.

          What rawbutter said.

In addition, the 03/04 can use the "008 mod", dunno if the 02 can. The mod, (a kit from MacDev,) allows the use of standard urethane 008 o-rings for the reg seat, so you should be able to rebuild it forever. I love adjustable tank regs, but there are hard/impossible to get parts for some of them. Haven't found replacement seats for Air America Apocalypse/Armageddon, or pins for Centerflag Dynaflow. The latter is my favorite one for light weight. It's tiny, and has a venting on-off.

I have a MacDev on an Etek and a Cocker, (for low pressure,) Dynaflow on an X-valve Mag and waiting to go on another Cocker, and an Apocalypse on a classic Mag.

            That's a shame.
