    Marker ID?

So I acquired this from my local shop years ago. It was sold by a former machinist that worked with Francois Louvet and Diamond Labs. I got a few other parts that were built for DL but never sold because he ghosted everyone, and the machinist got stuck with a bunch of parts. This marker originally had an e frame but when the shop owner posted it on Facebook for ID, I was told Bacci bought the frame for one that he owns and the body was left behind. He couldn’t remember what Bacci told him about it, and the closest I can come up with is the Toxic Toys Urban, but an older version. He was told it was a prototype e marker when the shop owner bought it, but that’s as much info as I have been able to figure out in my own. Looks vaguely similar to an Inferno also, but doesn’t have INFERNO milled into the body.

any thoughts from you gents? Or if anyone has the e frame that might work with this then let me know also. I’m posting an older pic for now until I can take more this weekend just to get the guessing game started. The second pic is from Bacci with Rennick’s Urban.

    thanks in advance

Definitely looks like a chopped up inferno body used to make an urban.... Or maybe another iteration of the urban?

I thought that about a donor inferno but I have an inferno e frame and it doesn’t mate up to this one.

I wonder if it used the joker body as blankd.

They look like infernos but have wonky.... everything

How did the Urban work? Was it just an E-Spyder style sear-tripper?

It appears to be, yes. A joker frame will fit it and lines up where needed, and trips the sear. A joker blank might be the winner here, and maybe just testing the waters for where he went from there. I know Francois had a pretty shady reputation and just blatantly stole other designs and reworked them under his labels. Vintagerex doesn’t even have a Toxic Toys Urban listed so I assume there aren’t many floating around. I guess I can try to reach out to Dan and see if he would either sell the original frame back or point me in the right direction for another, but it sounds like he might have snagged it for that same reason and left the body behind. I’m not sure of all of the details on the sale, I came in a few weeks after Dan had grabbed some of the parts from a Facebook ID request

I think he was involved with the joker's as well

Oh I know. That was his inferno knockoff, right? Still just as wonky as the original for reasons unknown to god or country.

so internally this one appears to just be a spyder clone. I was expecting a weird front end at the very least, so this doesn’t line up with the crazy joker front end nonsense either

the frame in this pic is from one of the other jokers I have, but those have the weird lower tube front ends where this one is more like a spyder with a smart parts ASA.

Is the body rounded on the bottom, like a Spyder? Or is it flat?

Flat, the frame has tiny wings on the sides to wrap over the rounded flat edges
