    Are barrel adapters worth it?

A year back into it, and I have a pretty good collection of barrels now. I am thinking about getting some barrel adapters to allow me to move some of my favorites around to some different platforms. Whats the concensus on adapters? Most of my barrels are .685 and up, so I am hoping they wouldn't form a lip to break balls upon. Most of the barrels I would want to swap around are 12 or 14, so my lengths would still be under 16. I always shied away from them back in the day. Do these things lead to broken balls, or are they usable?

They are usable but can also lead to paint breakage.

Basically you always have to overbore

I'm not a fan of adapters. They tend to break balls.

I use the iFit ones and never had any issues with paint breaking but that is with a Pump. Not all are made Alike Im sure too.

All two piece barrel backs are barrel adapters for the barrel tip.

If the adapter is smaller ID than the barrel, it should work just like a two piece barrel and be fine / great / flawless.

I never have had enough guns or barrels to need to move barrels around. If I wanted to use .687 barrel on a gun I'd want the adapter to be .685 and if the adapter was .687 yeah you'd need to make sure there is no lip and usually these things don't interface perfectly and there IS a lip.
