I have a Guardian (Badlands brand) tank with what I assume is a generic regulator. Is there any way to adjust the output pressure from standard 800psi to 250-450psi?
If it has shims then it's pretty straight forward, removing shims will reduce pressure

Not easily. You would need to decrease the spring pressure in the reg.
The super dirty and potentially dangerous way is to shorten the spring length with something like a file. Avoid excess heat as that could change the temper of the steel.

I can't do anything at the moment anyway. My tanks are full, and I don't feel like draining them. Compressed air is worth its weight in gold right now.
If I were you, I'd just bite the bullet and buy a low-pressure regulator that's adjustable.
I agree, if you don't have the ability to fill a tank at home from a scuba it similar, you are going to end up paying just as much if not more in fills to adjust it to where you want since it's trial and error

You won’t be able to do it full. So you will need to spend some time at a field with a compressor and a reg tester. Unless you want to pay to fill it each time. In which case it would be cheaper to buy a reg at the pressure you want like Trbo323 suggested. You can’t change reg pressure with air in the tank.
What are you running that you need that low of pressure?
I don’t think the manual says what operating pressure is for the Emek but I have over 150+ cases threw mine at 800psi with zero issues. 450psi is for Bob Long and a few select low pressure markers. 800psi works great with the emek. It probably won’t even shoot at 250psi.
I know it's not crucial, or they would have it plastered all over the manual, but it was something I thought I could do if it wasn't going to be too difficult.
I agree and more markers require Higher pressure then low. So High pressure is more universal. That’s my thinking on it. I have all my regs set to 800ish except for a my real big tanks that I put on the few electro markers I have.
All the cheap steel 3k rental tanks are set to 800psi from the factory. Most new players buying the cheaper tanks run them on older co2 markers that require higher pressure so most are set to 800psi from the factory. If the Emek couldn’t handle 800psi we would know about it by now they are the new go to markers for rentals. This is news to me that they “recommend” 450psi input pressure tho. I would be curious why PE Recommends LP myself. I have been running my Emek at 800psi since they came out without issues for many seasons. Shooting 2-3case practices regularly preparing for mech events. Honestly I wouldn’t worry about it I’m getting amazing efficiency numbers it’s super consistent and rips like no other mech. Best bet is get a new reg that outputs 450psi if you want to go that route, or get the low pressure kit for the Pure Energy if you can find one that should drop in.

One of PE's rebuild videos for the Emek mentions that they recommend LP tanks, but it's definitely not a requirement.
LP tanks make it easier on the bottle threads when unthreading if you don't have a POPS on it and have a tank with an aluminum bonnet, though.

True, but if unscrewing the bottle is a problem with an 800 psi tank, it's still probably cheaper to just buy a POPS ASA instead of a low pressure tank regulator, or an adjustable regulator.
