2006 Ego regulator keeps leaking from the vent hole

I've got a 2006 Ego with the stock HP regulator that keeps leaking from the vent hole no matter what I do. I've changed the pistol O-ring, the reg seat, both of the little O-rings on the velocity adjuster, and even the upper O-ring on the input swivel, and nothing seems to help. That on top of cleaning and re-lubricating everything. Is there something I could be missing or some trick to getting this thing to stop venting?

Was it a real reg seat?

You could try some Dow 55 on the piston oring but sounds to me like a Reg seat issue.

I got one from a member here in the dealer section that worked great on my 08 Ego.

        I assume so?
I couldn't find factory replacements but I did get these clear ones off of eBay.
There doesn't seem to be any change between using these and the black factory seat. In either case, the reg is still "working"- the pressure can be adjusted normally, but the leak from the bleed hole is the same.

I ask because some guys are out there printing reg seats or moulding them from hot glue

            You missed an oring.

Vent hole leak is always a piston oring, a reg seat can pretty much only leak internally and cause overpressurizing.

And yes, the 06 ego manual has the oring shown in the cross section but not called out or on a parts list

Wait, is that on the reg piston or captive in the lower reg body?

Should be captive in the lower reg body

            Well that was it!

I thought I was going crazy because neither the manual nor any of the parts lists mentioned this O-ring, and none of the how-to videos on the 'net mention changing it either.

On my gun the ring was hard as plastic and took a whole lot of digging to remove, but the leak is now totally gone.
Thank you so much for your help!!

              Good work, hope she rips!

Don’t screw in those grips too tight 😜
