Are the seals for 12 gram piercers all the same?

I was messing with my phantom in the woods yesterday and my 12 gram piercing seal got blown out somehow. I have more on the way, but they will not arrive in time for this weekend. Hoping to play! I looked for something local I can use, closest thing I found so far is 12 gram adapters. I tried a small oring and it worked, but buna swells after one use and gets wrecked. I have some green ones that also work, but they also fall out each time I change the cart. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

EV switched to nylon recently, which stay in really well but are impossible to replace, and often take a couple carts to break in for a good seal.

I punch some out of a stiff urethane that works pretty well. I also have nylon and polypropylene from past experiments. They all work decently well, but softer seats leak less and are easier to replace, while harder seats are more likely to leak at first and are really tough to swap, but never blow out.

Thanks! I tried the charger seal out and it was a no-go, but I will just use that charger to play with for now. I was so focused on fixing mine, didn't even realize I had a solution lol.

Funny thing, though. I had the factory charger on it last night and was showing the marker to my nephew. I forgot about the seal missing and threw a 12 gram in anyway. It sealed up perfectly just on the cartridge! We fired a few balls and I left it gassed overnight. Just checked, still had pressure this morning.

Seriously though, that is not going to last. If you had the old seal, you could've flipped it over and reinstalled, to get a little more use, possibly.

Edit: ...and post a picture of your stock bucket changer's puncture adapter assembly(to see the seal face seat area).

You know, early Nelspots didn't have any seal, just a pin. The metal-to-metal contact was good enough for the casual user.

But yeah... perhaps not the wisest approach long term.

I mean SplatMasters are one of those freaks of nature, that do the trick sealing, mostly.(failure types vary)

            It’s funny you say that

During the Oregon Supergame pistol tourney, I blew the 12ie seal out of my Phrame. Threw in a fresh cartridge, and with a crank it sealed metal on metal beautifully for the rest of the tourney

Hm. Might hop up a durometer for the next batch in that case.

Oh the blowout was my fault completely, I lost track of shots and didn’t even look at the gauge before trying to pull the cart
