    my first compressor.

so as the title says ive got my first HPA compressor and the manual mentions distilled water or anti freeze also a heavy emphasis on proper lubrication of grease only however no mention of what kind.

So I come here to ask, what sort of coolant is preferential and a similar question for what grease, Ive got a GX-E-CS4.

this is coming from an aircraft mechanic that has worked on high pressure systems, but not air compressors specifically.. so "grain of salt" warning

i would assume that the coolant depends on the temp you plan on running it. if your running it anywhere it can freeze you'll probably want anti-freeze. or a mix of distilled water and antifreeze

lubrication would be anything fully synthetic.. silicone oil or grease is never a bad choice for air compressors.

So what model compressor do you have??

And what model does anyone and everyone else on here have??

I'm in the market for one, now that my 9 year old and his podnuhs want to try and do skirmishes at my deer lease.

Definitely use coolant. If it ever gets below freezing it will pop the non replaceable piston inside of the 2nd stage. Ask me how I know. Also you can not get parts for them anywhere. If mine goes I might draw one up and make a batch of replacement parts if I ever need them.

I figured use water it will never get below freezing in my house. But I took it to play outlaw and after forgot it in my car and it froze. I got it replaced under warranty but really it was my fault. Do not use water even though it’s an option. They do say what type of coolent to use in the manual. I don’t remember off hand. Got it on Amazon,
