Opinions on barrel adapters?

I use a PTP Sniper that I bought an Ion-threaded Sharktooth kit for. The Lapco adapter that makes it work hasn't given me any issues at all.

I just picked up a Tippmann TMC which is 98 custom barrel threaded. About 98% of my other markers are cocker threaded so I've considered getting a thread adapter for the TMC. I plan to use a barrel with inserts on the TMC(either my freak barrel or my techt iFit kit). Would the barrel adapter create any issues?
