I haven't heard of or from RP in a good number of years. I got the impression he was in his late 40s, early 50s back in the PPOG days, which were pushing 20 years ago. I suspect he's retured from the strenuous stuff like paintball...

On the gold 'Mag, even more millions of years ago, there was a photo on an old cover of APG, showing two players wearing bright-pink and bright-yellow "armor". It was kind of groundbreaking to most APG readers back in the day, the vast majority of whom still wore camouflage. With the advent of "concept" fields (airball wasn't a thing yet, but "artifical", built fields were starting to be) players started wondering why bother with woodland tones.

Anyway, one of the players was holding an equally-radical-idea double-barreled Automag. Both were power feed MiniMag bodies, and the feed tubes crossed over the top, slightly offset from each other. The regulators were, of course, left and right air feed.

I was given to understand that many years later, after passing through several hands, the then-current owner had the entire gun- or at least the bodies and regs- gold plated. I seem to recall a photo of it at some event, but that's another one I haven't seen nor heard of in quite a while.

    Doc.
I am still friends with RP on the book of faces. He sold off most of collection to help out his daughter and son-in-law. I don't think he plays anymore.

As for the double golden mag, here is a couple pics from Chris Mader on Vm68.com

Beautiful! The red barrels perfect it.

I think this Palmers “Short n Nasty” is gold plated, judging by the trigger frame. Anyone have more information or pictures? Asking for a friend...
Bonus points for anyone who knows why it has a “Typhoon” plate on it.

I remember this one from RP's old site. It is sadly not gold plated. It is just the way the picture was taken that gives it the look.

His site said "The "gold-ish" tone or coloring was reflective of the wood background when he took the pictures. It is actually a very nice nickel plate, matt finish with polished nickel grip frame."

There was a gold plated Shocker SFT on Pbnation a while back. It looks like the pics are dead, but there is a video in the build thread:

Edit: found a later sale thread with pics https://www.pbnation.com/showthread....topics/3502504

-I seem to recall Glenn had to use the larger Typhoon valve and valve chamber in order to get decent velocity. That's one valve for two very short barrels, after all.

I believe there was a gold plated or colored polished Warsensor G2 Zeus. I thought at one time one was for sale (old site) and/or on the 'Bay.

I lost out by a small amount and should have gone higher.

I did have a beater Zeus I rescued and painted gold with leather Gunslinger Hybrid grips Named it "Whupass Fajitas" after a teammate made the connection to Boondock Saints.
One day of play at HSI, put it up for sale and likely made some kid a hero amongst his friends.

You guys probably didn't spend enough time on PBN to see this. Custom milled SFT with gold plating.
