    Phantom Price

Was at the local shop today, had a phantom on the wall (used). Looked like a pistol set-up with a short, freak bored barrel. Had a stock-class style feed, a bottom-grip ASA, a 12 gram bucket changer screwed into the ASA.

The body didn't have any markings, but the trigger housing was red, and looked like an aftermarket unit. The logo was lasered, with wings and a circle. Dont remember what it was labeled.

The pump handle was tiny, about 3" long, shorter than a standard pump handle. It wrapped around, not am under-cocking handle.

What would be a good price for this?

    Thanks!

Thanks. The gun wasn't new, was on the used rack. I dont think it was a new one.

And I forgot to mention, it had a stock class feed (the plastic body and metal tube), but was at an angle (right side), not top-feed.

Vertical ASA or backbottle to bottom line? And I’m assuming everything but the trigger housing is black?

Used,? I’d say $325-350. Phantoms have plummeted in price (market was super inflated last year). If it was a round head body, maybe $375 to $400

You looking for one? I might be able to piece one together for you. I’m trying to sell an open-class, but I do have a spare roundhead body.

Phantom are a sum of there parts so it really depends on the setup, accessories, Ano, freak bored, Detent modified. The more stuff it comes with the more it can bring. Miss matched parts markers usually bring less unless it’s got some rare parts on it. Without seeing it it’s going to be hard to judge value. It’s definitely a newer trigger frame if it’s laserd with the logo you described. But that dose not mean the rest of it is new. If you post a picture we could probably give you a better idea of value.

$350 is a good place to start for a newer clean used Phantom they for the most part go up from there. Unless it’s a unibody or missing pieces.

Pay attention to aftermarket parts they add up quickly. Certain hard to find parts and finishes can get very pricy.

It had a vertical mount, in front of the trigger housing, and a brass hard-line going from the vasa to the back.

Grip was plastic, old style, with a metal "adapter" in the bottom thst the grip ASA was attached too.

I should have taken a picture of it.

Price tag said $350, but was crossed out and a new price of $200 was written. I'm seriously thinking about just taking a risk and picking it up.

It felt very much like a pistol style set-up vs a long rifle style.

Well that sounds like a VSC with an m16 style a bottom line kit. CCI did make a shorter over barrel handle. They use to come on the micro phantoms to be used with short barrels for more of a pistol like setup. Works exactly the same it’s just shorter over all handle.

$200 for a VSC Phantom is a dam good deal you usually don’t find them less then $250 unless pretty beat. Your getting a VSC with a bottom line kit that allows you to easily screw in bulk air/co2 to the back. If your looking for a Phantom I would get it send the body to ASP for a detent mod then go slay some electro players.

I agree with Chuck. If it’s in half decent shape, $200 if a great deal for a VASA and stock class phantom with a freak bored barrel.

I think you may be onto something with the "micro phantom". The short barrel and 2.5" pump handle sounds spot on.

Just not sure about the trigger housing. Wish I remembered the brand.

Extreme Velocity they now own CCI they purchased it a few years ago. The logo looks similar to the Air Force symbol.

Newer logo looks like this. Also the brass hardline is a new style hard line the older ones were all silver. So the VSC kits probably newer as well. Should have the field strip screws with the over barrel handle. Two spin off screws and you should be able to get a good look at the internals. If the breach and body looks clean and the internals are smooth to the touch. Your getting a killer deal at $200. You cant kill a Phantom so even if it’s got some miles on it they tend to shoot better with age.

I think you are spot on. And yes, had the larger, flat screws to hold the trigger housing on.

The trigger housing was bright red, the rest black. No other markings (CCI, Phantom, etc).

The pump handle and the plastic feed housing thingy were clear.

Those add a bit of Value. Clear parts can bring $100+ depending on condition. They are brittle and easy to crack if you over tighten them or smash them on something. Not as durable but in good condition worth a bit more then the standard black pieces. They also are no longer made and are not an extreme product. Mike stopped production of those a while ago.

Im thinking it’s a leftover parts build someone traded in with the mixture of old and new. Any way you slice it $200 is a killer deal. Definitely take some pictures curious how close I was based on your description.

Once I get it home and take pictures, ill be hitting up ASP for the detent mod. Already being freak bored is a huge plus too, one less thing to take care of.

While I'm not a huge fan of the plastic grip, having the VSA and the bottom line plus ASA bucket changer is a big plus, gives me options.

You can get aluminum frames easily and they are not expensive. Just Depends on what ASA is attached to the frame. It could just bolt right on the bottom of one of the aluminum 45 frames. Extreme has everything you need in stock or post up in the WTB what you are looking for and you will easily find anything in gloss black you are looking for. Most parts come in gloss black.

Freak bore barrel to dam you did even better that adds substantial value as well. Sounds like you got a great deal!
