    Sheridian P-1DF? and VM-68

So i am going through my markers and downsizing once again i have what i believe is a Sheridan 1DF might be a P-12 not 100% sure. I have had it for a while but aside from that i do not know the history. I recently aired it up and it works well have not taken it out to the field to chrono it so cant be sure it is up to speed but that is not out of the question. I am thinking of asking $400 but i think i might be way off base. If anyone can say for sure what this marker is i would love to know.

Next on the chopping block is my Sheridian VM-68 this one works but needs 900psi or CO2 i am thinking of asking $200 but as heavy as it is i might have to ask more just to cover shipping i would love to hear your thoughts.

hate to break it to you though....

More like $150/175 with the parts on it if it works with no issues.

And for like exc-68 $75 tops

You can always ask for what you're thinking ... But if you actually want to sell them, I doubt you'll get half of that ...

PS: There is an I'd by pictures in the sheridan section, you might want to get a look through.

You are not breaking my heart, I kind of figured that was the going rate but wanted to make sure in case I was way off base. Like i said.
That vm-68 is so heavy it would cost more to ship it than 75 i think

I must be missing something i looked at the sheridian section and i see the sticky for Custom pictures, Tutorials, Tech repositories and Manuals did not see an id by. I used Vintage Rex and that was where i found P-12 but it has a longer barrel and when i looked up P-12 i found someone saying P-1DF on PB nation.

Flat rate medium box is 14.25 and you could package the VM68 in concrete and they’d send it.

The PMI1-DF has a Fassst Changer. You could probably sell that separately for 40 or 50 and still get close to the same quoted price for the gun itself

Tips for using that baddy? You may wanna check the bore size. Sheridans are typically big bored like .691 .690. That being said, Ill bring my kp3 to the field and if paint is super small that day, I dont use it.

Running 12ies you should otherwise be fine as far as velocity.

Work on keeping it held up qnd flat between shots to prevent roll outs.

And the biggest thing with a sheridan IMO, is the pump stroke. The free play, to hammer engagement, to sear latch is a weird feeling for some. Ive noticed this when letting others try my sheridans they always struggle pumping them. They almost always double feed a ball right off the bat struggling. Even after I tell em be dileberate with that stroke. So Id suggest being a nerd and practicing pumping and dry firing that beast tol you get the tension and sequence down.

On my open class brass, I can probably maintain 6 or 7 bps as I have the pump cycle down to the point its like I have an AT. Not that you are gonna shoot a 12ie off like that, but its nice to get the cycle down.

If you really wanted to you could put wedgits in the barrel to help with rollouts.

Last suggestion I have for you is get a PPS feedneck adapter. That presses into that 1" feedneck, and necks down to 7/8 allowing you to put a modern feedneck on that shooter. ( though an app atomic elbow will stretch over that feedneck.)

Adapts Sheridan feed neck to 7/8"Fitts: PMI 1DF, Pirinha, KP 2DF & KP 3

I really love the Sconi metal clamping feedneck with the above sleeve on my kp2. The sconi neck is a more acute angle than 45* so it tips the hopper towards center a bit. Some hate it, some like it.

And check my avatar out for the above feedneck assembly.

BrickHaus I do apologize as i am going to show my naivety but will standard calipers work to measure the bore size of the barrel? The way that i see it take my calipers and using the ID measuring portion measure the ID of the barrel and then if i want to be precise pull the marker apart and measure the section of barrel that the bolt goes into. I would imagine that this will get me into the ballpark on size at least. Is there another way or another tool or item that would work better?

A calipers should get you close enough.

If you really want to get a bore accurate your want a bore gage and a micrometer.

But for what you are after a calipers is good.

The tip measuremrnt alone should be a good indicator of what it is.

Ive seen a few oddball small bores which is a blessing now a days. I have a buddy with a kp with something to the tune of a .679 bore. He was never able to use it as balls would jam and need to be broken in the bore with a stick to get them out. We haven't measured it officially but hes gonna try it out this season with the new tiny paint standard.
