What's this thing worth? In good shape and has threads in tact with ASA. Was planning on using it for something but leaning towards going another direction. Trying to decide if it's worth selling or throwing in the parts bin.......

Id guess that it being wood, and unique you could get 35-75 dollars depending on who else answers.

Well, I currently don't own a mech Spyder, but that grip makes me seriously consider building one.

Actually, moment of clarity - does that grip fit a Hammer 2?

It should. OG Spyders were m16 framed. Never had a lone star, but I’ve put phantom grips on Spyders and vice versa.

Yup, they fit fine. I have a couple I'll grab one of my Phantoms and mount one to it and snap some pictures. They are real comfortable in my hand. I want to use one of these as a frame for an integrated through the frame ASA to valve connection.

Grendel per your idea of using this as a gas-thru grip setup. The bottom line hole spacing on these are the older wider spacing. These won’t accept newer asa’s. Also it’s not uncommon for these to break. As cool as the idea is, these grips may not be the ideal candidate. Just wanted you to have a heads up before hand.

"....may not be the ideal candidate" is exactly why I want to use them. First I find them very comfortable in my hand and second I want people to wonder how I am getting air into one of my Phantoms. I'm not worried about the existing threaded inserts as I plan on removing them anyway so I can adapt to use and non-Spyder Duckbill (Custom closer to an AGD style). Then the goal is to drill out for a brass transfer tube that will use reg seats (maybe) to connect the transfer tube to a seating surface milled into the ASA. The rest essentially will be an adaption to some of the other work players have done to connect to the Phantoms valve. As to the fragility of the grips themselves I plan on boring on the other side of the grip attachment screw channel from the transfer tube a hole and inserting/epoxying a brass rod brazed to a flat bar that will be recessed into the grip to frame mating surface. If I can work it out also I would like to braze the transfer tube to it also but that is not a high priority. Trust me I have been thinking about/planning this for a few years (originally this was going to be adapted to a LAPCO Grey Spirit frame that had an AR Style grip but I sold that one off a while ago but the idea should be adaptable to a Phantom.

I have one of these on a spyder but I find it very uncomfortable because they are made for wrong (not left) handed people.
