ACI turret

Ok guys last one for tonight. Another my buddy picked up.

This thing is very cool. Way tiny than others I have seen. Holds 5 co2 cartridges. Over all the thing is mint, seems hardly used.

But it is missing the piece that pierces the cartridge and screws into the asa.

Anyone know what that piece is. If ACI is around and I might be able to buy it.

If I am able to find the piece to have this complete and working. What would it be worth. A very cool piece.

I bet you can get a lot for that if you can find all the pieces. Looks new probably because it’s missing pieces.

Once we figure out what we are going to do. I will see what can be done with this one. I would like yo give this one a try.

I would like to see if I can track down the missing piece from ACI or maybe have one made.

Does anyone know if ACI and dirtyworks.com is one and the same. Search for ACI come up with that.

ACI is long gone. It’s going to be a nightmare finding that ASA/pierce pin assembly. Making one is going to take a ton of trial and error. It’s got to be just right or it won’t clear when the drum is rotated.

As for using them they aren’t any faster it just holds them all in a convenient location. That drum still need to be manually indexed adding an extra step in the change out process. The single lever changers are much faster. Did you check that other single lever changer bonnet to see if it works in this one they might be the same.

Palmers has an ASA plug that most of the work would be done already you would just need to turn it down drill it threw tap for the piercing pin but it’s all got to be perfect. It would help if you can get someone with one to take some measurements for you. Mine is long gone but just for reference I sold the knock off version of this for $350 a while ago. The ACI one I had worked a lot smoother.

The pierce-pin/check-valve/ASA is all 1 piece?
Thats gonna be a rough one to make ...

If I remember correctly it doesn’t have a check valve. But yeah it’s all one piece other then the piercing pin similar to what CCI uses threaded into it. It’s held in place with set screws in the side. I did have to take it apart and it was a pain to get it all together lined up. There are tons of ball bearings and springs that come popping out if it like a hand grenade when you take them apart. It’s a good time lol

So there more of these floating around. We could then hopefully track one down to see about the missing piece remade. That would be way cool.
