This FBM Gothic Autococker

I've seen some gothics on ebay in the past 12 months. They went for about 700-800. I'm wondering about this one. It's in better condition and has better parts to it. But I'm also wondering if it is an original gothic or a clone. I think someone released a clone body a while back.

The gothic I have is the same color but has "FBM" milled into the passenger side by the vasa

Those FBM days were weird, different designers, body kits and full builds, etc etc. I think bacci did a video fairly recently… the name Olgaz also comes to mind but I can’t place why.

point is. I don’t know for sure but I’d assume it’s legit? Please, someone school me if there was a clone.

According to Bacci there were some bodies machined by Ogaz Enterprises. They had tubes for the upper and lower parts, which this gothic definitely seems to have. Are these better, worse, more desirable, less? Is this the Ogaz, or the original?

I would imagine the tubes would have the same kind of success rate that the fishbone bodies had, which to my understanding was difficult to reseal if those tubes started to leak. They are pretty neat though, I remember seeing this one for sale not too long ago cuz of that interesting beaver tail lol

Fbm didn't put their logo on everything early on.

when ordering these you had the choice of tubed or non-tube, spiked or non-spiked. Tubed ones could leak over time from the banjo and vasa pulling on them

I had to have my tubes resealed and both frame screws helicoiled recently. But I still dig it and draws lots of eyeballs on the field
