ID:	638842I've got four Puma AP-5 guns. They are used but in good condition. They've been in storage since the 1990's. I need to replace o-rings on two of them to hold the charge, but the other two still work great. Any idea on value?

Got pics? I am only familiar with one Puma and they are quite rare.

Edit: This is the one I am familiar with

I believe this is the long barrel version, the short barrel was the standard.

I added a couple pics to the post. Your version has the longer barrel.

      You rang?

First, I have a video, if you haven't seen it, and there's a thread here on MCB that adds a little background.

Not much is known of the guns. They were made, briefly, likely in the '86 to '87 range, and I suspect that the high cost (roughly twice that of a 007 at the time) and low efficiency made them a poor seller.

They're easy to rebuild, you just need a valve tool, as shown in the video. I made up a couple extras, and only the disc seal is special- I have a couple of those, too.

As for value? That's a really good question.

Just after I made that video, I bought two that Bacci had, who was selling them for Renick Miller. I forget what I paid, maybe $150-$200 each? And they were incomplete- missing the CO2 plug.

Value's gonna be kind of weird. They're extremely rare.... but also not particularly well known or overly collectible.

I'd hazard a guess that a shootable original- likely rebuilt, note both the literally-liquid and fragile-solid O-rings in that video- ought to be worth about $150 to $250 at the outside?

More if it's really clean- an NIB would be a unicorn and might garner a premium. But day-to-day? Not really a ton of interest in 'em.

      Doc.

Count me in as interested. I've wanted one of these since I saw Doc's restoration video, seeing as they were made where I'm from.

Awesome! I gonna replace the o rings on two guns this weekend and test the all. I'll plan on posting full pics and specs after testing.
