Some new old stock, checkin' prices.

Buddy of mine dug out his tub of old paintball gear and showed me some of the stuff he had in it. I mentioned a few things might be fairly valuable- or at least have some demand, so I shot a couple pics and told him I'd get some estimates.

Just to be clear, these are not mine, they're not mine to sell or trade. I may be the middleman if it comes down TO selling them, but just for the moment, this is more just out of curiosity.

First and foremost, while I know nothing of JT strap values, I know that some of them are worth a bit. So, a pack of purple JT's, new in the bag, never installed:



Next up, new-in-the-bag, never-used VL-2K shells in black, with the battery door.





Going along with that, a complete, good condition, but used, VL-2K in green:



New, unused, Spyder sight rail:



And last, two packs of brand-new JT Tear-Offs, to fit Spectra lenses.

I think the old IMG tags don't work any more. You need to click the Image button on the tool bar above the text area, midway on the right. Then copy in the URL and probably uncheck the "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" box.

Those straps will fetch quite a bit. Like maybe around $200 each. Edit: $300 each

There's a JT related BST Facebook group that will be able to give an accurate value. I'll see what I can find out. I could help with selling there too if you'd like, would be faster than eBay and no crazy fees. Same thing with that green VL. Will return and report.

I take it the other stuff isn't worth much? Do they even allow tear-offs anymore?

No rule against tear offs. Just no sense for them.

Those straps are indeed worth a tidy sum. $200 each is not outrageous right now for a woven strap in a purple “color way.”

I am on the market for VL shells myself and would pay $20 for the black. The newer shells are made from too brittle plastic.

Purple bubbles those will fetch a fist full of cash especially in that condition. They just did a remake of them not long ago. These are definitely OG ones. Put them on eBay 150 each no reserve and let her rip.

I would love one but that’s going to go to the people who don't use their gear.

Now is a good time to sell since JT will be dropping Purple ICE masks soon. The BookFace will be doing a bunch of purple builds all the lady’s will swoon over these and they will likely double in value overnight.

I unearthed a handful of rare NOS JT straps and masks last year and had to figure out value and best way to move them --- I would NOT ebay auction, too risky. stick with Buy it now.

Even better, get with this FB JT group. 90% of the people who will pay fair market are in that group anyway and you'll avoid fees

As for value, i found the people giving appraisals in that group skewed ~20% above real market if I wanted not to sit on it for months.
To be fair, upward bias is present in any group when you're discussing the brand/gear the group is purposed for...

Thanks for the link! Upon getting a closer look, I do believe that sight rail is off a Commando II marker. It will fit the Spyder just fine, but not the rails that I am looking for.
However, I would be interested if/when it becomes available.
