    Sheridan PMI P-Series

I have been trying to figure out more about this marker. I have seen 1,000 variants searching online, and I have not been able to narrow down a specific model / year of production. Bolt says cooper-T.

    Thanks!

This is a converted direct feed, likely originated as a PMI-1
Someone removed the top tube and replaced it with the direct feed adapter.

The bolt itself is aftermarket, and highly sought after.

Yes. You have a PMI1 that someone converted into a PMI1-DF (direct feed). That bolt is really special and harder and harder to find. Cooper-T (real name Chauncey) made all sorts of neat aftermarket parts, usually with his signature red anodizing.

"If it's not red, it's not right."

Here's his old web page on archive.org.

There was actually some kind of dispute between him and PMI over the bolt. The original PMI1 had an ordinary bolt like a PGP. I basically ripped off Chauncey's design for their "speed demon" bolt on the PMI1-DF.

So you have a snapshot of paintball history in this gun

iirc the issue was between Chauncey & sheridan,as they stole his design, pmi was just the marketing... I wouldn't say the bolt is terribly rare, palmer's sold them till they closed, and i gave up trying to sell the half dozen or so I had & started just throwing them in builds for sale
      Working...
