Redux Carter

I always under the assumption a Redux was on Phantoms body and internal. Just picked this up. If you had to put a price on this, how much would it be.

TIL 😂 How much is this build typically go for? I have to say it's pretty buttery smooth compared to my phantom. This is dry firing. Haven't load a CO2 cart yet.

If I recall they were $600 ish when they came out for a complete build. With all the supplied Carter bits it’s hard to tell how much someone actually spent to put it all together. It’s probably worth less than a complete mongo built redux, but they probably spent just as much on the Carter parts.

I was looking at this on facebook, but had picked up that carter box gun here or else I would've tried scooping this thing. The only thing I dont like about these is the attached feed tube to the slide, you gotta be a lot more mindful when feeding the breach, its easy to chop if you dont get the rhythm right

I used to own this gun.
I sold it many years ago in 2016 for 650. I'd say its probably worth about 900-1000 these days.

Did you put it together yourself or that's how you bought it?

It was awhile ago. It was definitely assembled when I got it, but I added the r7 barrel with chamfer. Maybe a powertube, IDRemember really.

I would argue more just because of how fast everything moves these days for unique stock class and the Carter bits. I think even a stock redux would push 1300+ in today’s market.

This is a unique situation where all the parts are "rare" but the sum of the mishmash is sort of less desirable to me than a full Redux, R7, or Comp.
You lose the gas in grip and slide trigger of the redux and r7 so you basically have a insert barrel "Duckslide"-style dress up kit for a Comp. Yea, you get offset feed and over the top sighting, but, for me, its too many compromises.
Not my intention to hate on your new pickup, hope its good to you.
Whenever you get around to testing it, im interested to see the efficiency numbers.
The early run Redux used Carter style internals,
there was a batch (maybe the last one) that used Phantom. And 2 prototypes that were Phantom internals with Slam Changers

Lol didn't realize I had a Frankensteinish build. Honestly never played with a Carter before so I figured I give it a try. Had to Google all the variants you mentioned 😅 I'll be out playing this weekend for memorial day so I'll let you know how many shots I can get off with a single cart.
