    3.5 and 4oz tanks

    I have 2 steel 4oz tanks and one aluminum 3.5oz with a on/off

I was thinking about polishing all 3. How would that affect pricing?

shiny= more $$$ than not shiny imo.

a buyer can always repaint/powdercoat if they want black, OR enjoy the shininess OR send it out to anno and already have it prepped for gloss.

Polishing a steel tank is just going to lead to rust

What is a co2 valve worth today. I feel like most of us have one in a parts bin but you can get two small aluminum tanks for like $36 dollars from the soda stream dealers just have to swap the valves over.

I don’t think shining up the aluminum will hurt value but there isn’t much value to begin with. Lots of places don’t even carry Co2 anymore.

I agree I would not do the steel tanks. Unless you’re going to Duro Coat Or Cerokote them after they will rust.

I found a place that you can do small cerokote jobs with 90% of the finish results of a professional job for like $33 in material for small jobs with disposable sprayers and some DIY work.

Thanks for posting the links. I will have to watch this again and his duracoat one. I read that duracoat is easier for DIY, dealing with stinky fumes, steps and baking. Duracoat you even leave it air dry without baking. Baking it will make it stronger lasting longer.

Yeah there are a few different low temp bake options for Cerokote according to the DIY it’s not very stinky bake process. 90% of the adhesion issues are prep issues. But are no bake a cerokote options as well. It just takes longer to setup.

The better you prep the better it holds.
