    VM-68

Picked up a VM-68 with an interesting adaptor/barrel insert. Just wondering if there's any value there

Nice VM! That black barrel is a stock barrel and the sleeve is what holds it in place.

That is in real nice condition. iirc... The bottom barrel/collar combo is the standard stock barrel. To me the surprise bonus is the angled vert air mount and horizontal air plug. And not sure about the SP tip looking barrel. Probably a $140-$150 package, more if it has a valve tool, etc.

It does have the valve tool with a bunch of other parts. I can take a picture later today. It looked like it was really well kept. I was dumb and decided to test out the action and I believe I sheered off the detents.

agreed on the pricepoint, someone would likely pick it up just for the vts, I still run one on my short setup vm68

The VTS is worth a good bit. You hardly ever see them up for sale.

Here's a picture of some of the tools/parts it came with. There were a bunch of random screws and other stuff that doesn't look specific to the marker. It even has the owner's manual and receipt from when it was purchased haha.

Having flashbacks of humping one of those around in the early 90's with a 20oz. CO2 tank on a bottomline.
          Thanks.

If the stock bolt is in the bin, I wonder if it has a Venturi bolt?

Unfortunately, I think it's just another stock bolt in the marker. It has the same face as the spare bolt

              Thanks.
My memory is of helping friends degas them when they had the 2 tank adapter. We had to coordinate unscrewing the CO2 tanks since there weren't on/offs or at least a bunch of teenagers couldn't afford them. Also how heavy it was with a 20oz on back and 7 or 9oz on front plus a full hopper.

Those angled vertical CA adapters have become pretty hard to find, I've been trying to find one for 15 year!

I only had the 20 oz. on the back.
The front was an Air America Black Rain expansion chamber.
Even though it was AL, it was a chunk of weight.
Felt like He-Man toting that thing around.
I thought I had walked thru the pearly gates when I got my Mini Cocker.
                  My arms thanked me.
