    Automag value, local find

I have never shot or owned a mag, but I have always been interested. this popped up on fb marketplace, I love the look with the grips. what is the value and what can I expect from this setup. fully usable, glaring needs?

    Thanks,

Get two rebuild kits from AGD, they should have them up on the website, maybe some new air hoses, macro line fittings. I think you can run the HPA into the valve directly if you have a reg on your air tank you can adjust to the correct psi for the mag valve.

That thing is sick the way it is. Leave it old school and basic, it has a real charm to it. If anything, I’d say get a peanut 45 ci tank and keep it as a little slapper, don’t try to turn it into a CS3 and put a crbn loader on it. That marker has class written all over it. 😤

Keep the view loader and put a peanut tank, after you rebuild the valve it will be iconic.

Resale, as is, $150, rebuilt, maybe $200, not allot of money sitting there but it’s got a style that’s becoming more rare, like early 50’s Chevy trucks.

There is a ton you can do to that mag to make it fit your style. However, you can rock it as is after a rebuild. You can rebuild it yourself, its super easy, get a kit and watch Youtube videos.

          What I would do personally:
Get a barrel adapter. That Dye twist lock is classic and the ping it will make when shooting is great. However, paint is getting smaller and smaller, so you are going to have issues.
          https://docsshop.storenvy.com/collec...barrel-adapter

I'd put the ASA on the bottom of the grip frame, and switch to Macroline. I'd loop a foot of macro from the valve to the ASA.

I would also buy a Master Soni elbow. It helps center the hopper and isn't nearly as tall as the plastic feednecks, and you won't have to worry about it breaking.
          https://mastersconi.com/product/scon...-1-dust-black/

Then it will be ready to rock for at least 10 years before another quick rebuild.

The grips can be 50-75, look to be good condition. I would agree with the above, maybe just add a foregrip. Sconi are hard to find. You can also ger PTP angle necks to fit. Most new guys wont know what you are rocking but they will ask lots of questions more so after they play against you.

I wouldn't switch to Macroline, a gun that sturdy deserves sturdy hoses. Heck, a pair of 90 degree hose elbows available at your local hardware store you can possibly use that current hose to a bottom line setup if the hose is long enough.

As an alternate to the Doc's Adapter, if you want to try using the Dye barrel if comes with, you can try these detents that are made for today's smaller paint:
                  https://beardedworks.com/products/bw-twistlock-detents
                  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mj2P4gm69Lg

As others have said, I'd add a front vertical ASA adapter and foregrip, move the ASA to the bottom of the grip (if possible, not sure the screw holes are set up right on the one it comes with), and run macroline to the valve (it's just easier to work with than braided hose and quick disconnects in my opinion, and it won't scratch anything).

If you want to get more advanced, add a Level 10 (if it doesn't already have one) and an RT on/off. The Level 10 will be gentler on paint; if it's a Level 7, you may be limited to mid- or field grade paint to prevent barrel breaks. The RT on/off will lighten the trigger pull a bit, but when installed in a Classic valve, it won't reset the trigger faster or give you RT effect. Neither of these will change the external look.
